Lauren E. Snider, MAI, has worked in commercial real estate appraisal since 2007 and is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in Louisiana. She attained the MAI designation which is held by professionals who provide a wide range of services on all types of real property related to providing opinions of value, evaluations, review, consulting and advice on investment decisions. MAI designated members agree to adhere to the Appraisal Institute Code of Professional Ethics and Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, underscoring a commitment to sound and ethical professional practice.
She has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from The George Washington University and additional post-baccalaureate studies in real estate finance and urban planning. Prior to working in real estate appraisal, she held jobs in property management and construction which have given her a unique understanding of the real estate industry.
She is also an associate appraiser with Argote, Derbes, and Tatje, LLC - an appraisal firm that was founded in 1987 that services the Gulf Coast region. All the partners in the firm hold the MAI designation and have been active appraisers and brokers in the region for over 40 years. Within the firm, she works on a wide variety of complex property types.
She is currently pursuing a specialist designation with the International Right of Way Association.
